We are keeping all fingers & toes crossed for a grand opening on 4th July.

We will be concentrating this year on glamping and camping. All our tents are 10m apart and lend themselves to social distancing.

Our adventure weekends however are totally inclusive and as such wont be running them until 2021…watch this space!

Luckily we LoVe all things glamping and camping and are looking forward to being super hosts!

We have ‘pre-pitched’ camping in the form of our 5m bell tents furnished with 4 camp beds, a picnic table and camp chairs. Bring your own bedding and cooking equipment and you are good to go!

Our fancy glamping is for those after a little more luxury, kingsize beds, log burners, fully furnished kitchen- just bring yourselves!

We have 9 tents in total set in our ‘Livit camp’. Facilities are shared with the farm camp next door.

We cant wait to meet all our summer guests!

We absolutely love North Devon. We live just a few miles from the coast and that means miles of fantastic beaches, coastal walks and many other opportunities to explore the countryside.

You can’t say you know what the North Devon lifestyle is all about until you’ve live or at least visited here. The fresh air, the laid back atmosphere – everything adds up to a very different type of lifestyle with a mixture of countryside and beach life. Here’s a few of our favourite places in the area. We’ll continue to add to this list as we grow to find more hidden gems in the area.

Westward Ho!

The only town with an exclamation mark in it’s name, Westward Ho! is named after a book of the same name by Charles Kingsley. The beach is beautiful – it’s one of our favourites for surfing and other watersports. This seaside town is just a few miles from our camp and a fantastic beach to explore when staying in the area.

Hartland

Hartland is a few miles down the coast from us where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Bristol Channel. You’ll have chance to see the lighthouse, visit the local pub and, if you like, enjoy the coastal walks along the cliff to enjoy the stunning views.

Clovelly

This is one of the last private villages in England. With a small fee to enter the town it has become a popular tourist destination. The steep cobbled streets are a challenge to get up and down but take advantage of the Landrover up and down the hill and you’re feet can take a rest!

After a very busy month building and getting our new site ready, we finally open our glamping units.

we received our first customer last weekend for the May bank holiday and everyone had a great time.

our new glamping tents from Soulpad are looking great set up on the new decking area complete with individual kitchenette, solar lighting, BBQ and fire pit

Inside the beautiful canvas tents, a king size bed is made up along with bedside tables and storage chest.

We’ve also been busy building our main outdoor kitchen with BBQ and a wood-fired pizza oven.

We would like everyone who helped us in the last few weeks it’s been a lot of hard work and we couldn’t have achieved without the help of our friends (Matt and Grace, Alex, Xavier, Fawn, Sian, and Paul) and of course Neil, Bridget and Chris from Westacott Farm Camping.

Happy New Year Adventurers !!

With the start of a New Year it’s time to look ahead and plan for future adventures… with the news full of Brexit talk and cold and rainy weather, summer may feel like it’s still a long way off!

But there is still a lot of adventures to be had; here at Livit Adventures we are looking forward to the coming season and not only busy planning the up and coming Adventure weekends for 2019, but we have been getting to grips with the cold weather too; its the perfect time of year to be walking and getting outdoors with our excellent mountain guide Lucy! We have been doing some excellent day walks in the beautiful landscape and moorlands of Dartmoor National Park in Devon- Dartmoor ponies roam its craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands, and tors. Trails wind through valleys with Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses.

Because it’s winter doesn’t mean we can’t go to the beach here at our local spot in Westward Ho! We’ve had some great waves for surfing and windy days for Kitesurfing. A good wet suit is essential for getting in the water this time of year!!!

With a lot of snow currently falling in the Alps at the moment, we are looking forward to our annual ski/snowboard trip this march with our friends. We are also very excited to have entered (with Robin and Sukie from 514 Elemental) into the Red Bull Ragnarok snow kite race in Norway this April.

What’s new and coming up at Livit Adventures this year… well after a great 2018 season we have first decided to come back to Westcott Farm Camping as the base for all our Adventures- and thank you again to Bridget and Neil for having us back and being so supportive! From this spring we will have a permanent set up at Westacott Farm with the usual Tipi’s but also we will have 3 Glamping bell tents which will be kitted out for full luxury with a proper king size bed, log burner and private decking area …. the Bizz!

A new outdoor area with an outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and also a cafe-style seating area and fire pit to relax and socialize in the evenings.

We have a new fleet of inflatable SUPs and foam surfboards coming this year and those will be available on all our adventures this summer

We are looking forward to welcoming you at Livit Adventures in 2019!

With the 2018 season in full swing, we have already had some fantastic weekends here in North Devon, and let’s just say the weather has been superb. With the sun shining constantly it’s been a perfect summer for  Livit Adventures.

We hosted plenty of guests so far and everyone has had a great time. We have been surfing a lot and the waves have been epic with some especially memorable early morning sessions at Bude. Thanks again to Matt and Grace at Big Blue surf school for all their help and support.

The wake park has been really busy this year and it’s great that they been able to fit us in so frequently (thank you Joe and Sally). Everyone has really enjoyed having a go at wakeboarding, for most of our guests it was the first time they had ever tried… and they were all able to get up and riding thanks to the fantastic instructors at the North Devon Wakepark.

Another activity that has been really popular this year is the South West Coast Path walks, a simple one – two-hour walk along the stunning North Devon Coastline with the occasional wild swim and lunch provided at the end. It’s been a great success and everyone enjoyed it.

And of course, the best thing about the weekends so far is the guests. We have met some incredible people and everyone has brought something special to the table.  Thanks to all our guests so far, it’s you guys that make the adventure possible.

Livit Adventures

11 weekends and 1 whole week of adventures already added to the 2018 calendar! We are gearing up for the season and getting everything ready. The bus is in progress and the dates are being set…not long now!!!

Fully booked week just completed in Croyde! What an amazing group. Fantastic weather helped us fit in every activity we wanted. Climbing, surfing, wakeboarding, kitesurfing, hiking, chilling! Thanks to everyone for an amazing week.

We had a great weekend trip surfing in Putsborough last weekend.

We made the most of the heat wave at the weekend and enjoyed a great weekend, the wind was light therefore not so good for kitesurfing, but perfect for long boarding on the small waves.

We had an amazing long boarding time with our pals at 514 Elemental in North Devon. Things we learnt….Sukie can catch even non existing waves, Robins’ ribs haven’t quite healed and Kevin is determined to hang 10!!!

After the surf we completed the evening with a fantastic BBQ at the beach.

Can’t wait for the next www.livitadventures.com weekend.
