Surfing

Surfing

Some of the beaches in North Devon are fantastic surfing spots! Although the beaches welcome tourists you will find some great surfing beaches available at the right times of year. For the busier months you can enjoy a quieter time in the water early morning or later in the evening or even better visit during the cooler months when you’re likely to enjoy a whole beach to yourself! Woolacombe, Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands are just a few of those perfect for surfing no matter your ability level.

Wakeboarding

In North Devon we are extremely lucky to have a fantastic water park right on our doorstep. The North Devon water park is made for wakeboarding in a group and they offer two forms of wakeboarding. The first is their straight line cables, which is perfect for first timers or for private lessons, the second is their full size cables offering slower or faster times for different abilities. The park also has an aqua park as well so you can enjoy some inflatable fun after your wakeboarding session.

Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

As well as beaches we also have 90 miles of coastal walking to enjoy with routes mapped out from all areas in North Devon. Whether you’re looking for a flat easy stroll to enjoy the water from a relaxing walk along the coast, or a more challenging hilly outlook to view the sea from a higher position, the coast around North Devon offers it all.

Open water swimming

We couldn’t do a list of ways to enjoy the water in North Devon without mentioning open water swimming. The beaches are so clean in North Devon it’s one of the best spots to enjoy this sport. Don your suit, pick a quiet area or time of day and enjoy the beautiful ocean that is on offer in this part of our county.

If you don’t live near the coast (or even if you do), surfing is one of the activities you absolutely have to try. So whether you are an absolute beginner or a surfing pro a weekend in the area of North Devon (renowned for its surfing spots) is definitely on the cards.

Stand Up Paddleboarding

Ok, not as fast paced, but SUP takes some skill to master and can make a fantastic trip for stags looking to let out their competitive streaks.

North Devon is infamous for its food and drink so no matter whether you’re looking for fine dining, pizza made the old fashioned way or just some good ol’ homemade pub grub you’ll find a range of places to dine just a stone’s throw from the Livit Adventures camp. What’s more we even have our own pizza oven and shared kitchen for our groups to use.
